Our hot cross buns were recognised as the 2026 National Winner by the Baking Industry Association of New Zealand.

Baked fresh daily at Michaels Bakery in Hillmorton, each bun features a soft, beautifully textured crumb with generous fruit distribution and balanced spice.

A key part of the process is properly conditioning the fruit. The fruit is carefully washed and soaked until plump before being gently folded through the dough, creating a moist bun with flavour in every bite.

Crafted using traditional methods developed over more than 40 years of baking, this award-winning bun is a true Easter classic.
